(Yanks off his shirt and throws it aside) Just kill me!I like how removing his shirt was completely necessary in this scene. Everyone knows it’s impossible to be staked through the heart with your shirt on.
He wanted to make as easy as possible for her. You know…Spike likes making things easy for Buffy.
Look, Spike has dignity. If he’s going to die, he’s going to do it shirtless. It’s a matter of principle. Or maybe he wanted to leave his shirt behind as a memento for Buffy. Here lies Spike’s shirt.
Or maybe he just wanted to see that seriously perplexed look on her face. Seriously look at it. She’s like Spike, why are you — Oh. Okay. Shirt’s coming off. That’s … great … I guess … You do that.
Or maybe he’s just letting her know that shit just got real. Like, she might be thinking ‘Nahh I might not do it- oh oH OH HE JUST TOOK OFF HIS SHIRT SHIT JUST GOT REALLL’ or something. Or maybe he was seducing her into.. not… staking him…? idk. But he took off his shirt so it’s all good.
